marriage: that first year.

soo remember how we got married may 22, 2010?!

that was a year ago.

yep.

remember how we didn't do anything fancy this weekend for our anniversary because of other weddings, stake conference and wanting to save our money?

yep.

remember how happy i was that we spent the whole day before our anniversary together because you said you didn't have to do yard work, and you came with me to run errands and even stuck it out at the bookstore with me?

you are a rock star.

remember how we still had a perfect first anniversary because it was on a sunday and we got to spend all day together just hanging out in bed {with our iPhones} listening to church music and it was just lovely?

ahh.

remember how i wanted the first time you saw me in my dress to be a surprise but you were there outside the bathroom door in the temple visitors center after i had changed into my dress and i shooed you away and got kind of bridezilla?

i'm sorry. kind of.

but then i came to and realized again how much i loved you and how stinking excited i was that i was going to be your wife.

and then you were a champ when i wanted balloons in our photos and you didn't get how cute it was but did it anyway and gave me lots of kisses.

remember how you picked me up like when a prince rescues a princess...

and how we can't do that anymore because we are unfit?!

hahaha.

yep.

remember how great it was to come out of the temple to all our besties cheering for us?

sigh.

and now every time we come out of the temple doors i still secretly hope there is a slew of people to shout cheers and hoorays while i wave...

{but it doesn't happen}

oh the memories.

remember how neither of us know how to dance and you just don't like it but you had a first dance with me anyways?

i love you for it.

and i hope you always remember there is nobody else i would rather travel with

along this road to forever.
