home tour - then & now: family room+kitchen

this is basically what our home looked like right after we got married and were still sorting through the wedding aftermath.

if you look closely you can see the jar on our countertop with left over wedding candy in it...pretty sure i still have a bag of jelly beans in the pantry. ah, sentiment.

and this is how our home looks currently.

we have come along quite a bit in my opinion (even though i would love new paint).

mostly with minor details since we had already picked out all of our furniture while we dated.

i've been through a few stages with how i want the entertainment center accessorized.

i'm still not one hundred percent happy.

it's just such a difficult thing to decorate, so for now it is just alright.

and i'm still trying to think of a solution to hide the big nasty black cord that cases all our electronic wires and such. yuck!

hooray for finally having a real curtain rod to go with our real curtains.

i don't know how we survived with a sheet stapled over the window for years.

this kitchen of mine is still a long way from where i want it to be.

i don't know why it is so hard to decide what should be on top of the cupboards.

i'm slightly satisfied for now though, at least i have it painted my favorite shade of gray.
