february air: day seven.

we've made a home together.

yes, i realize i am hideous in this photo but it is important to note the setting (aka the house was basically empty).

cody and i were still dating when he purchased his (our) home. i can't even count how many houses we looked at to find him the 'perfect' one. it was a process that went on for months, when finally i saw a little home listed that was right in higley groves, where the streets are paved in gold.

i remember driving over to the house to see it while cody was at work. i knew it was empty so i allowed myself in the backyard and peeked in all the windows. it was in need of some tlc for sure. we had looked at so many homes that just didnt seem right, and found one that we both LOVED but after we prayed together about it (yes, we were only dating, not engaged...and praying about homes to buy) we decided it was not a good choice. after i had seen the little home i found i KNEW it was the one.

long story short, cody bought the house, we repainted, picked out new carpet, new granite countertops, new kitchen appliances, new hardware, blinds, installed canned lighting etc. and since he was moving from home, he had no furniture, so we got to pick out everything together, it was one of the most fun times together. the party still continues as we do different things here and there and work on finishing up our little dream home to hopefully welcome little dream babies some day.
